Our philosophy:

We have a “biblical perspective” of history, as opposed to a “humanist perspective”.

Humanism sees Man—the development and accomplishments of humanity—as the center of history.

A biblical perspective of history puts God in the center as the creator of humanity and of the cosmos, the influencer and director of human affairs, and the ultimate co-creator, with His creations, of the story of history.

Only with God in the center does history possess meaning and direction, order, and value. Following a biblical perspective is important because if you take God out of history, whatever’s left is not half of the picture—it’s the wrong picture.

Our approach:

Your picture of history affects your picture of God’s faithfulness and ways. If you want to know “What Would Jesus Do?” in the present, you need to discover “What Did Jesus Do?” in the past. Follow God’s story through the pages of history and you will find Him faithful and good; follow humanity’s story, apart from God, and you will find it terrible—or terribly boring.

History is the story of God’s redemption of humanity, and that is how we present it from Creation through modern times.
