What is Your Family Culture?

As the parent, you are not only homeschooling your kids, you are also creating a "family culture." Whether it is intentional and strategic or by default, your family culture is shaping each of your children, giving them a sense of who they are in the world. This is one of the most important parenting tasks we face.

But, how do we do this—especially in an authentic way? What areas do we focus on, what will work for OUR family? These are important questions to ask, and they become powerful when we answer them with wisdom and enjoyment.

How do we see God's fingerprints in history?

Teaching our kids about the faithfulness of God is a vital and ongoing process. AND it is something that needs to be real in our own lives if we want them to get it ... A life-changing moment in my own life came many years ago, while teaching my kids history. I realized that I kept seeing God's faithfulness to people living through very challenging historic situations. I thought, "If God was faithful back then, surely He is faithful today." And you know what, He really is!

That's why it's so powerful to help our kids see God's fingerprints in history!
